Daniel Agger has warned Liverpool Football Club they face missing out on the top four.

The Reds started the season in a fashion which suggested they could qualify for the UEFA Champions League, but they have now drawn three successive matches at home.

The last of these was a disappointing stalemate against Premier League new-boys Swansea City, after which Agger delivered the following wake-up call to his pals.

"We were really, really bad,” said the defender. "We have to win these types of games, no matter which kind of team we put out. We are Liverpool Football Club.

"If we play like this, we won't (get back into the top four). I won't say it is not possible, because it is but it is up to the players. We definitely have to do a lot better."
