Villarreal are keen to land Romelu Lukaku in the New Year.

The Belgian international only joined Chelsea during the summer, but he has yet to make a start in the Premier League as Andre Villas-Boas takes his time with the youngster.

Lukaku has been linked with a loan move to Malaga in the New Year, although his agent was quick to insist the striker will remain at Stamford Bridge.

However, latest reports suggest Villarreal are desperate to lend the 18-year-old, after losing both Nilmar and Giuseppe Rossi to injury in recent weeks.
