Steve Bruce admits he could find it difficult to keep Nicklas Bendtner at Sunderland.

The Arsenal striker is on loan at the Stadium of Light for the current season, and he has contributed two goals in seven appearances for the Wearside club.

However, Bendtner has struck five goals in as many games for Denmark this term, and Bruce feels this form could earn the 23-year-old widespread interest.

“I would love to sign him,” he told the Newcastle Journal. “But the better he does, certainly internationally, the more people are looking at him.”
