Juande Ramos is set to make a move to take Didier Zokora from Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.

The Spaniard was axed as manager of the White Hart Lane club earlier this season, but he has landed on both feet as he was installed as new coach of Real Madrid on Tuesday.

Ramos is expected to enquire about a few of his former charges, and reports suggest a £6million offer is winging its way to North London for the services of Zokora.

According to Marca, the Real boss has given the name of the Ivory Coast midfielder to his new employers, as they look to bolster their squad when the transfer window reopens.

"The player that impressed me most (during my time at Spurs) was Zokora," admitted Ramos last week.
