Wojciech Szczesny believes experience is crucial for Arsenal Football Club.

The Gunners looked to be in contention for the Premier League title last season, but they slipped away towards the end and eventually finished fourth.

Szczesny believes Arsene Wenger’s side lacked experience at the time, but with the summer additions, he no longer feels that this is the case.

“We've signed (Mikel) Arteta, Yossi (Benayoun), (Per) Mertesacker, who have played at the top for a long time and that's made a difference,” he told The Times.

"I think quality-wise, we were the best team in the country last year but we lacked experience. We've added it at last with the players, all over 25, arriving."
