Lucas Leiva will not feature for Liverpool Football Club again this season.
After initially struggling in England following his arrival at Anfield in 2007, the Brazilian international has gone on to become a key member of the Reds starting eleven.
However, they will now be without Lucas for the remainder of the season, after it was confirmed he suffered anterior cruciate ligament damage in the Carling Cup win over Chelsea on Tuesday.
It is now being suggested that manager Kenny Dalglish will look to sign another midfield player when the window reopens in the New Year.
