Manchester United rule out Vidic replacement
Manchester United Football Club are unlikely to replace Nemanja Vidic in January.
The Reds were dealt a huge blow last week when the Serbian international defender was ruled out for the rest of the season after picking up a knee injury against Basle.
This has led to supporters urging Sir Alex Ferguson to open the cheque book when the window reopens, to sign a top-class centre-half in Vidic’s absence.
However, with Jonny Evans, Rio Ferdinand, Phil Jones and Chris Smalling in contention, the United manager feels he already has enough cover in this department.
