Taye Taiwo admits he may have to leave Milan in the New Year.

The Nigerian international joined the Rossoneri when his contract at Marseille expired in the summer, but he has so far struggled to force his way into the first team.

Taiwo has been linked with a move to Newcastle United as they look for a new left fullback, and he admits he could be tempted to seek a move when the window reopens.

"Every day I suffer more and more because I am not given the chance to play," the 26-year-old told L'Equipe. "I came here to give my contribution, but I have always been on the bench.

“I need to play to get into shape. It seems clear to me that I don't have the confidence of {coach] Massimiliano Allegri. Staying under these conditions is not possible for me."
