James McCarthy insists Wigan Athletic Football Club can avoid relegation.

The Latics have won their last two away games in the Premier League, having previously gone eight straight games without picking up so much as a point.

And although they are still in the relegation zone they are just two points adrift of safety, and McCarthy is sure they will soon be in the clear.

"The main thing is that we are not worried," the midfielder told Sky Sports. "We know we are good enough to stay in the Premier League. We have got a good enough squad.”
