O’Neill to pick up interest in Gibson
Sunderland Football Club will renew their interest in Darron Gibson next month.
Former Black Cats boss Steve Bruce was close to signing the Manchester United midfielder in the summer, but the deal collapsed towards the end of the window.
Gibson remains on the outer of the first team at Old Trafford, and with his contract set to expire at the end of the season, he is being tipped to leave in January.
It is believed new Stadium of Light boss Martin O’Neill will try and land the 24-year-old for a fee of around £3million, as he begins his plans to transform the Wearside club.
