Fabricio Coloccini is still in talks over a new contract with Newcastle United Football Club.

The Argentine international has been a key member of the Magpies side this season, and his form is thought to have earned the attention of Liverpool.

Coloccini has just eighteen months remaining on his contract at St James Park, but Alan Pardew has revealed that talks over a new deal are ongoing.

"It's bubbling along really," he said. "It's a contract we need to get right and quite rightly, everyone is holding fire on that to make sure it's right. There are obviously talks ongoing on that really."
