Sunderland manager impressed with Bendtner
Nicklas Bendtner has made an early positive impression on the new Sunderland manager.
The Denmark international is on loan at the Stadium of Light from Arsenal this season, and he scored his third goal for his temporary club in the 3-2 win at Queens Park Rangers on Wednesday.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for Bendtner, but it is clear that he is making a positive impression on the recently-appointed Black Cats manager Martin O’Neill.
"He's a fine player in the making," said the Ulsterman. "I do accept you could probably still talk about him having potential at 23 but there's a cause there at Sunderland.
“And really it's up to Nicklas to want to be in that cause. He's committed himself and I thought his performance was excellent (against QPR). He can be a real proper player."
