Manchester City Football Club admit they could move for Daniele De Rossi this month.

Roberto Mancini has made no secret of his long-standing admiration for the Italian international, who is currently in the final year of his contract at Roma.

The City coach has at the same time always stated that he expects the midfielder to remain with the Giallorossi, but he has now indicated that he could move for the 28-year-old.

"De Rossi? He is a champion and he would be the perfect man to improve City," he told Gazzetta dello Sport. "If we get the right signals, it is right that we try for him."
