Swansea City land Sigurdsson on loan
Swansea City Football Club have signed Gylfi Sigurdsson on loan.
Brendan Rodgers managed the Iceland international during their time at Reading together, when the midfielder’s performances earned him a £6million move to Hoffenheim.
Sigurdsson has been at the German club since the summer of 2010, and he was named as their Player of the Year after an impressive debut campaign in the Bundesliga.
The 22-year-old has struggled with injuries this term, though, and he has sealed a return to England after Rodgers clinched his signature to add him to his Swans squad for the rest of the season.
