West Ham United Football Club hope to land Vedran Corluka for just £1.5million.

The Croatian international is well down the pecking order at Tottenham Hotspur, and he is keen to move on during the winter window to protect his place at Euro 2012.

Sam Allardyce is an admirer of the 25-year-old, who can play in the heart of the back four or at right fullback, and it has been reported he will make an offer to take him on loan.

However, it is now believed that he Hammers boss wants Corluka on a permanent deal for just £1.5million, which is some £4million short of the price Spurs paid Manchester City in 2008.
