Chelsea to grant Lampard free transfer
Chelsea Football Club are willing to let Frank Lampard move abroad on a free transfer.
The England international has been a key man for the Blues since his 2001 arrival from West Ham United, but he has failed to nail down a regular starting role under Andre Villas-Boas.
Manchester United were last week linked with a sensational move for the midfield player, but the return of Paul Scholes from retirement has all but ended their interest.
Besides, there is no chance Villas-Boas would let Lampard join a Premier League rival, but The People claim the Portuguese coach would let him move abroad on a free transfer.
The 33-year-old has eighteen months remaining on his £150,000-per-week salary, and he is believed to be a target for Paris St Germain, managed by former Chelsea coach Carlo Ancelotti.
