McCarthy assured of future at Wolves
Mick McCarthy has been assured of his potion at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Molineux club started the season in bright fashion, even topping the table early on, but they have slipped to sixteenth position and just one point above the drop zone.
Wolves have not tasted success in any of their last six fixtures, but chairman Steve Morgan has dismissed suggestions McCarthy’s job as manager is in danger.
“We've not got a hire and fire mentality,” he told Sky Sports. "Of course we have problems, everybody has problems, but our philosophy is to work through the problems.
“I don't think you get longevity and long-term growth by chopping and changing all the time. The message is finally dropping with people that this is a club about stability.”
