Petr Cech is desperate to help Chelsea Football Club win silverware this season.

The Blues won the Premier League and FA Cup double in 2010, but last term they ended with nothing as the Manchester clubs took these prizes.

Many pundits feel a shot at the title is out of range for Andre Villas-Boas men this season, but they are in contention for the UEFA Champions League and FA Cup.

And Cech, who has won eight major honours at Stamford Bridge since his 2004 arrival, is eager to add at least one of these trophies to his list in May.

"We set a standard in recent years, and that's the way it is at a big club - especially here,” said the Czech Republic international. "We want, ourselves, to win something.

“We don't want to go another season without trophies, so our aim is to end this season with silverware. We're doing everything in our power to achieve that.”
