Queens Park Rangers hopeful over Alex
Queens Park Rangers Football Club are hopeful of concluding a deal for Alex.
The Brazilian international is down the pecking order for places in the Chelsea side, and he had a transfer request accepted by the Blues last year.
Mark Hughes has already seen two bids for the 29-year-old defender fail, but the recently installed QPR boss remains hopeful that a deal can be finalised before the 31 January deadline.
"Talks are ongoing," he said. "I've spoken to him and told him my feelings towards him as a player. It's a big decision for him. We're trying to get things finalised and get over the line with it.”
