West Ham United Football Club are considering making a bid for Zat Knight.
Sam Allardyce is determined to return the Londoners to the Premier League at the first time of asking, and they are on course as they hold a three point lead at the top of the Championship.
The United boss also has cash to spend before the 31 January transfer deadline, and whilst a striker is a top priority, he is also believed to be keen on Knight.
However, Bolton Wanderers have already lost one defender this month, Gary Cahill to Chelsea, so they would be reluctant to see the 31-year-old also depart.
But as the former Fulham man is out of contract at the Reebok Stadium at the end of the season, they may have little option but to consider any offers.
