Mick McCarthy is eager to bolster his attacking options whilst the window is open, as he looks to drive his side away from the Premier League drop zone.

It is believed the Wolves manager has set his sights on a deal for Jerome, who only left Birmingham City for Stoke City after the Blues relegation last season.

The 25-year-old has struggled to find regular first team football at the Britannia Stadium, and McCarthy hopes to take him to Molineux in an initial loan deal.
