Pardew eyes Cup Glory with Newcastle
Alan Pardew would love to guide Newcastle United Football Club to FA Cup glory.
The Magpies have not added to their honours list since their 1969 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup success, and they have not won the most famous cup competition in England since 1955.
However, as United prepare for a tricky fourth round tie at Championship side Brighton & Hove Albion, Pardew is determined to end this silverware drought.
“The cup competitions, I personally really look forward to. We will be sending a strong side to Brighton and hopefully getting a positive result,” he said.
Pardew lost an FA Cup final to Manchester United as a player whilst at Crystal Palace, and as West Ham United manager also had to settle for second best against Liverpool in 2006.
