Queens Park Rangers Football Club are close to agreeing a deal for Sebastien Bassong.
The Cameroon international has been unable to command a regular first team place at Tottenham Hotspur, and is keen to move on whilst the window is open this month.
It is believed Mark Hughes has made an offer of £3.5million for the former Newcastle United defender, having missed out to Paris St Germain for Chelsea star Alex.
Tottenham, though, want an extra £1million for Bassong, and the Loftus Road manager is now considering meeting this valuation or trying his luck with a £4million bid.
