Manchester United Football Club are confident of landing Nicolas Gaitan.

The Argentina international is enjoying an impressive season this term, particularly in the UEFA Champions League where he helped knocked the Reds out.

Indeed, the Benfica forward has more assists in the competition that any other player during the campaign, so it is little surprise he is said to be wanted by Sir Alex Ferguson.

And although Manchester City have also been linked with Gaitan, sources at Old Trafford are confident the 23-year-old will pitch up at United in the summer.

It was claimed earlier this season that Ferguson was prepared to pay as much as £25million for the player, as he looks to add more creative quality to his options.
