Leighton Baines believes Everton Football Club are on the up again.
In what has been another difficult season at Goodison Park, David Moyes boosted his ranks in January by signing Darron Gibson, Nikica Jelavic and, on loan, Steven Pienaar.
This has given the whole club, from supporters to players, a huge lift for the second half of the season, and Baines is optimistic that the club are now on the up.
"I think [January's transfer dealings] lifted everyone associated with the club, it certainly did from what we see within the club, it gave everyone a boost," he said.
"It was massive, what that 24 hours did for us with the two new lads coming in. We needed it and it does lift people. We certainly feel as though we are on the up again."
