Neil Taylor is delighted that Brendan Rodgers has signed a new deal at Swansea City.

The 39-year-old led the Swans to the Premier League at the first time of asking last season, and the progress has continued this term in the top-flight.

Rodgers has been rewarded for his work with a new deal which runs up until the summer of 2015, and defender Taylor insists this has lifted everyone at the Liberty Stadium.

"I am really happy the boss has committed himself to the club as it is really good news for everyone connected with the club," Taylor told Sky Sports.

"We have made great strides under him and in terms of the players and myself, especially, I am delighted he will be staying at the club for the foreseeable future."
