Steven Gillespie has no intention of quitting Colchester United Football Club.
The 26-year-old has been linked with leave the League One club when the window reopens in the summer, after starting just five times in the league this season.
However, Gillespie insists he sees his future at the Colchester Community Stadium, and he plans to stick around and win back his place in John Ward’s starting eleven.
"You have to keep your head down and keep going. The gaffer picked the side for one game and we won, but I'm more than ready if he needs me in other games,” he told the East Anglian Daily Times.
"I don't think I will consider moving on, I'm not anywhere near that. I'm happy here at Colchester and I wouldn't consider moving away. I want to be here. Here is where my future lies."
