Mark Davies is understood to be a target for Newcastle United Football Club.

The midfielder has emerged as one of the key players for Bolton Wanderers this season, having cemented a place in Owen Coyle’s starting eleven.

Davies has even been dubbed as similar to Paul Gascoigne by the Whites manager, who appreciates it will be difficult to keep him should they suffer relegation this term.

According to the Newcastle Chronicle, the Magpies have an interest in signing the 23-year-old, and could move for his signature when the window reopens.
