Sunderland eyeing Sessegnon replacement
03:00 PM 24 February, 2012
Sunderland Football Club are eyeing potential replacements for Stephane Sessegnon.

Despite earlier this week describing the Benin international as essential to his plans, Martin O’Neill fears losing Sessegnon at the end of the season.

Arsenal have been heavily linked with the 27-year-old in recent weeks, whilst Paris St Germain are also expected to make a bid when the window reopens.

And according to reports, O’Neill is already eyeing potential replacements for Sessegnon, with Greek international Sotiris Ninis said to be a top target.

The 21-year-old has in the past been on Sir Alex Ferguson’s radar at Manchester United, but the Black Cats would be able to offer the midfielder regular first team action.

Ninis has been dubbed as the rising star of Greek football in the past, and O’Neill will no doubt be aware that his contract at Panathinaikos is due to expire in the summer.
