Alan Pardew has urged Newcastle United fans to concentrate on teh football on Saturday.

The Magpies faithful are angry with owner Mike Ashley’s decision to rename the stadium the Sports Direct Arena last year, and the famous ‘St James Park’ sign has now been removed from the Milburn Stand.

This has sparked speculation that the supporters could react angrily this weekend when Wolverhampton Wanderers visit, but Pardew has urged them to instead focus on supporting the team.

“I can understand from a fan's point of view,” he said. "But once the game kicks off, it's about that product on the pitch and I think they trust the players, they know they will get a performance out of them."
