Chelsea Football Club boss Andre Villas-Boas couldn’t be more pleased with Gary Cahill.
The England international was due to become a free agent this summer at Bolton Wanderers, who decided to cash in on his in January rather than lose him for nothing.
A number of clubs had shown an interest in the 26-year-old defender, including Arsenal, but it was the Blues who secured his signature in a £7million transfer.
And although Cahill has made just three appearances for his new side, Villas-Boas said: "I am happy with Gary. He has been excellent in the games he has played."
