Sheffield Wednesday will stick with Jones
Milan Mandaric insists Dave Jones will be given time to succeed at Sheffield Wednesday.
The Hillsborough club sacked Gary Megson last week just days after he led them to a derby win over Sheffield United, and Jones has been installed as his successor.
Whilst Mandaric still hopes the Owls will be back in the Championship next season, if they are still in League One, he insists the new man will be given time to get it right.
"If he doesn't make it this season, we will go and do it next season.. He's a very experienced manager with a tremendous amount of credibility,” said the Wednesday owner.
"We needed a fresh change and I couldn't find a better man. He will be fully supported, like every manager I have had, fully supported to do what we need to do.”
