Crewe Alexandra Football Club will not extend James Tunnicliffe’s loan stay.

The defender joined the League Two club form Wycombe Wanderers in February, but he made just two appearances before suffering a shoulder injury.

Crewe have therefore decided against extending his loan stay at Gresty Road, although manager Steve Davis admits he could return in the future.

"With his injury, there didn't seem any real point in extending his loan, but it is still something that could happen in the future,” he told the official club website.
