Danny Guthrie accepts Newcastle United will not finish in the top four this season.

The Magpies have enjoyed an impressive campaign, and against all the odds they have been flirting with a UEFA Champions League spot for much of it.

However, despite winning against Norwich City on Sunday, Guthrie feels United are too far off the top four pace, but he would settle for UEFA Europa League qualification.

"The top four is out of our reach. Maybe that will be in the next two seasons for us,” he told The Chronicle. "But the Europa League is definitely within our reach.”
