Wenger determined to keep Robin from City
Arsene Wenger is determined to block any Manchester City bid for Robin van Persie.
The Holland international will be down to the final year of his Arsenal contract in the summer, and he has been linked with a move to the Etihad Stadium.
City have in the past raided the Gunners to take Emmanuel Adebayor, Kolo Toure, Gael Clichy and Samir Nasri, but van Persie would be the biggest scoop of all.
However, Wenger is determined to keep hold of his skipper and tie him to a new deal, and will not entertain the idea of selling the 28-year-old to the Blues.
“They have enough players there now,” said the Frenchman ahead of the clash between the two clubs on Sunday. “Am I flattered? More worried. But it’s a little bit of a normal process.”
