Sam Allardyce insists West Ham United are still in the push for promotion.
The Londoners were red hot favourites to bounce back to the Premier League at the first attempt, but they had slipped up in recent weeks.
However, a 6-0 trouncing of Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday puts them within three points of second placed Southampton with three games to play.
"We are in the race still, and we have closed on Southampton's goal difference which could be a factor,” he said. "We're still feeling the pressure as we have no margin for error.
“It's got to be three wins and then we can rush and see if anyone has slipped up. We have to make sure we still have automatic promotion to play for on the last day.”
