Danny Simpson hopes his future remains at Newcastle United Football Club.

The former Manchester United youngster has enjoyed an impressive season at St James Park, helping Alan Pardew’s side fight for a top-four finish.

Simpson, 25, has just over twelve months left on his contract with the Magpies, and his future has been of some doubt since snubbing a fresh deal in January.

But although Aston Villa are prepared to offer him a bumper deal to move to the Midlands, it is believed the fullback would prefer to come to an agreement with Newcastle.
