John Coleman insists Gary Jones still has a future at Rochdale Football Club.
It has been suggested that the 34-year-old has had a bust-up with the manager of the Spotland club, who are currently propping up the League One table.
Jones, who is Dale’s all-time appearance record holder, was a surprise omission from the side which dramatically defeated Exeter City 3-2 on Saturday.
This has merely added to the speculation that the midfielder will soon be heading out of the Lancashire club, but manager Coleman has acted swiftly to deny such claims.
“Gary has been a fantastic player for Rochdale and I'm sure he'll be a fantastic player for at least another couple of years,” he told BBC Radio Manchester.
