Chelsea Football Club are preparing a sizeable bid for Javi Garcia.

The Blues may be without a permanent manager at the moment, but this hasn’t stopped Roman Abramovich drawing up a list of potential player additions.

Reports in Portugal claim the Stamford Bridge owner has set his sights on a deal for Garcia, who is regarded as one of the best midfield players in Europe.

The 25-year-old has a contract with Benfica until the summer of 2018, but Chelsea will look to lure him to England with a bid in the region of £30million.
