Hamburg are keen on taking Dirk Kuyt from Liverpool Football Club.

The Holland international has struggled to nail down a regular start with the Reds this season, which has led to speculation linking him with a summer exit.

Kuyt is under contract at Anfield until the summer of 2013, but Hamburg have suggested they may make a move for the 31-year-old when the window reopens.

"A player like Kuyt, who is still in good shape, can add something to any team,” said technical director Frank Arnesen. "He is a real team-player with an excellent attitude."
