Thomas Vermaelen insists he will never leave Arsenal Football Club.

The Belgian international has been a huge hit at the Emirates Stadium since his arrival in 2009, and last year signed a new long-term deal at the club.

And the 26-year-old insists the reason he signed a new contract was because he wants to see out the remainder of his playing days with the Gunners.

"I have no intention of leaving this club," Vermaelen told the Sunday Mirror. "I feel at home in London and I feel that I have become a real Gunner. Arsenal is my club.”
