Ronnie Moore wants to lead Tranmere Rovers to a top-half League One finish next term.
Moore rejoined the Prenton Park club in early March, and led them to a six-game unbeaten run and six wins in his first ten games to stave off any threat of relegation.
And having now been handed a new contract which will run until the summer of 2013, he has set his sights on building on this progress next season.
"When I came back to Tranmere in March I said that I wanted to get the club to the 50-point mark before I discussed a contract,” said the 59-year-old.
"I'm delighted we have been able to do it with a few games to spare and even more delighted to have signed my contract. I want Tranmere to be a top-half team next season.”
