Everton Football Club are set to enter the race to sign Clint Dempsey.

The US international has been in superb form for Fulham this season, having scored an impressive 16 goals in the Premier League from midfield.

Dempsey will be down to the final year of his contract at Craven Cottage in the summer, and this has resulted in him being linked with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

And the Daily Star now claims Toffees manager David Moyes is also keen on the 29-year-old, and hopes to win the race for his £4million signature when the window reopens.
