Gary Hooper is a target for Southampton Football Club.

A win against Coventry City on the final day of the season at the weekend could see the Saints return to the Premier League as Championship runners-up.

Nigel Adkins will then be given cash to boost his squad ahead of next term, and it is believed he has made Hooper a leading target for the summer window.

The former Scunthorpe United man has hit 23 goals for Celtic this season, and the St Mary’s club would have to offer around £7million to persuade the Bhoys to sell the 24-year-old.
