Manchester City have been linked with a daring bid for Dani Alves.

Roberto Mancini will once again be given a healthy transfer budget during the summer, as the Blues look to become the dominant force in England and Europe.

City have already flexed their financial muscle to sign a number of top class talents in recent seasons, but the potential addition of Alves would rank amongst their most daring.

The 28-year-old Brazilian right back is rated as one of the best players in the world, and he is currently plying his trade for Catalonian giants Barcelona.

Alves is under contract at the Camp Nou until the summer of 2015, but reports in Spain suggest Mancini could offer as much as £30million for his signature in the summer.
