Liverpool Football Club are preparing an offer for Rasmus Elm.

Kenny Dalglish may have spent heavily on his midfield during the transfer window last summer, but he still feels his side lacks a creative spark.

Elm has in the past been linked with both Aston Villa and Manchester United, but reports suggest it is the Anfield club who will make the first move when the window opens.

The Sweden international is currently plying his trade in Holland with AZ Alkmaar, but Dalglish would hope to lure the 24-year-old to Merseyside in a £7million swoop.
