Arsenal Football Club have made their move for Javi Martinez.

Arsene Wenger is determined to add more quality to his squad this summer, and he has already struck a deal with Cologne for German forward Lukas Podolski.

Reports now suggest the Gunners coach has made the first move to lure 23-year-old Spanish international Martinez from Athletic Bilbao.

The midfielder is regarded as one of the best players in his position in Europe, and Wenger would likely have to part with around £25million to clinch his signature.
