Neil Lennon admits Celtic Football Club may lose a star player this summer.
The manager of the Scottish champions is eager to add to his squad ahead of next season’s UEFA Champions League campaign, but cash is in short supply.
Lennon has now revealed that he would be willing to consider selling one of his star players, if it means he could use this sale to reinvest in his options.
"I'm not keen on selling but needs must at times," he said. "If we can maybe sell one player and trim the squad, that might leave it open for two or three to come in.”
These comments are likely to be of interest to recently promoted Premier League side Southampton, who are prepared to pay £7million for striker Gary Hooper.
