Liverpool Football Club could be set to move for Clint Dempsey this summer.

The US international has enjoyed a superb season for Fulham, hitting 22 goals in all competitions as his stock amongst rival Premier League clubs grows.

Dempsey will be down to the final year of his contract at Craven Cottage in the summer, and the Reds from Anfield have hinted they could bid for the 29-year-old midfielder.

"We never talk publicly about transfer targets, however, any team would be lucky to have Clint Dempsey playing on their squad," said chairman Tom Werner.
