Liverpool Football Club are thought to be confident of signing Rasmus Elm.

Kenny Dalglish spent heavily on his squad during last summer, and having already won the Carling Cup, he hopes to secure the FA Cup on Saturday night.

However, it has been a different story in the Premier League where the Reds have flopped badly, and cash will be made available to reinvest when the window reopens.

It is believed Dalglish is confident of landing Swedish midfielder Elm for £8million, as the 24-year-old enters the final twelve months of his contract at AZ Alkmaar.
